As a glass artist I predominantly work in kiln forming glass rods and stringers to produce both flat and three dimensional pieces.
Inspired by pointillism, divisionism and mosaic techniques, I work in a very meticulous way, layering hundreds of individually hand cut glass components to build up intricate, yet simple and elegant pieces of glass work.
My work is reflective of my love for exploring the boundaries of line, shape and form. My motivation comes from subjects where detail is lost by the creation of silhouettes, emphasising the play of light and shadows to enhance contrast and definition.
